March 8, 2025 - Vero Beach City Marina, Vero Beach, Florida

This morning, we took our sweet time getting ready for the day ahead.  Had coffee, breakfast, did some other tasks, and decided to go to the beach.

We caught the bus carrying our backpacks and umbrellas.  The beach is busier than the other days, but not much.  We set up our chairs and umbrellas, and plopped in our chairs to watch the world go by.  I grabbed my book, and Kip went on a walk-about down the beach (which he does several times whenever we are at the beach).

He came back stating that there were lots of shells further down the beach, so I took off for my own walk-about.  Most of the shells were broken, but I picked up some unique ones in case the granddaughters wanted to use them for art projects.

Kip finally decided to go in the water.  The waves were small to big, and he jumped them for about 15 minutes (almost losing his glasses from one of the waves).  The older people at the beach had their suits on and enjoyed the day (which is wonderful).

We caught the bus back to the marina.  Kip sat on the back deck enjoying his music while reading and I took a nap.

We left the boat around 5:00 p.m. to go to the live concert.  The "Live in the Loop" band tonight is "Short Circuit".  We plopped our chairs right on the curb, so we had front row seats.

The band was fine - they played many fun songs.  Kip and I agreed we still like the first band the best.  Many people danced (mostly older people, which is so great to see), and we stayed for the first set.  We went back to the boat for supper, ice cream, "Blue Bloods" and bed.

Vero Beach is a very nice area, and the Vero Beach Marina has everything we need.  We would definitely stop by here again on our travels.
