March 7, 2025 - Vero Beach City Marina, Vero Beach, Florida

The water pump is fixed, but the floor is still damp, so the fan is still on until that dries up.

We skipped breakfast and walked to the Art Under the Oaks art festival.  There were not very many people there yet, which was nice.  There were beautiful paintings, sculptures, glassware, jewelry, etc., but it was WAY out of our league (expensive).  I told Kip if we had a couple of houses to decorate, I would have purchased quite a few items.  But we don't so I didn't.

Back at the boat we had breakfast and read for a while.  Then we decided to go to the beach.  We caught one of the free buses and walked the beach for a while.  There aren't many shells, but the beach is very sandy and not weedy and has not been very crowded.

We then got back on the bus and went to Publix to pick up a couple of other items we needed.  We had a 20-minute window in which to walk into Publix, get groceries, and get back to the bus stop.  We split the list and took off.  We regrouped after about 10 minutes and bought a case of Gatorade and four bags of other items.  We got back in time for the bus.  Teamwork!!

I finished my book and took a nap.  Kip tinkered around and eventually woke me up so we could head to Riverside Theater to the free concert.

Tonight "Live in the Loop" band is Riptide, and the crowd was much bigger than last night.  Kip and I both agreed that the band last night was much better (but this band was fun too).

At the first intermission we packed up our chairs and walked back to the marina.  The sunset was pretty so we, of course, had to stop and take some pictures.

Kip made sweet and sour chicken with chicken fried rice for supper while I updated the blog.  We aren't sure what we are doing tomorrow, but we will probably go back to the free concert for sure.
