March 16 - Sunset Bay, Stuart, Florida

Kip decided he didn't like the back deck the way it was set up because it was too crowded.  He moved cables, put other stuff away, and put the solar box somewhere else, and now we have a nice, clean, spacious back deck to sit in!

We enjoyed Blowing Rock Preserve so much we decided to go back there again today.  Packed with our chairs, umbrella, books, and water, we set up camp.

Kip sat in his chair and read.  He has been reading (devouring) books written by the author C.J. Box, and he really likes them.  I went shell hunting and, along the way, talked to people on the beach, and picked up garbage when possible.

The water shooting up from the rocks is really fun to watch.  We sat next to one of the larger rock, and people were stopping there all day, taking pictures and getting soaked by the wave they didn't know was coming.

Kip finished his book.  The books are in sequence, so we stopped at the Barnes and Noble store, and he purchased the next two books in the series.  I picked up a book as well.  Theres a St. Patricks party at marina Sunday night it is a pet charity dinner at the marina on Sunday, so we stopped at the pet store and purchased items to donate.

We spent the rest of the afternoon reading on the back deck.

We had lots of excitement:
  • Kip heard a splash and saw a duck that had just caught a fish for dinner;

  • The water patrol people were very busy handing out tickets; and
  • A man was on shore by us playing the bagpipes (I would imagine in honor of St. Patty's Day tomorrow).   He ended his set with Amazing Grace, which is one of my dad's favorite songs. 💟

We are having brats, mac and cheese, and salad for dinner tonight.  Enjoy the sunset photos!
