Today we took the truck to the grocery store (which is MUCH easier than riding bikes and carrying everything with backpacks back to the boat). We read for a while, and then decided to go to Hutchinson Island to Bathtub Reef Beach.
This beach is closed because of severe erosion. They are working on fixing the issue but at this time there are no lifeguard stations or lifeguards so people can swim there again. There were a few people wandering around, the waves were pretty big, and we walked for a while and looks for shells.
We were looking for more places to fish, so we stopped at the Clifton Perry Beach Fishing Pier. A couple of men with fishing gear leaving, and we asked them if they caught anything. They said they caught red snapper, shark, and a couple of other types of fish. We are taking note and will probably go back there and try it out.
Kip made hamburgers for supper (along with salad and apples). It is a bit cool, so we tucked in and stayed inside until bedtime.

We woke up to clouds and rain this morning. Doug and Gwen are picking us up at 11:00 for another adventure. Doug drove us out to Jupiter, Florida to sightsee and have lunch. Jupiter is beautiful, lush, and as Doug says, most residents are from "old money". Except, maybe, for Tiger Woods, who moved into the neighborhood in 2011.
We stopped at Blowing Rock Preserve which gets its name from the water that spurts out of the holes in the rocks during high tide. The tide was lower, so we didn't see huge spurts. It was funny that Doug and Gwen brought us here because we added this to our "to do" list yesterday! Kip and I walked a little bit on the beach and peeked inside of the visitor center and their displays. In one of the cases there were huge, uncommon shells that were found on the beach. Beautiful!
