February 3, 2023 Fort Meyers Beach, Florida

We are staying in Jeff's boat slip in Fort Myers Beach.  There are no other boats around, so we don't have to worry about getting in anyone's way.  It is very dark around here since people are not living in their homes right now, but where the slip is it is better.  We are being very diligent about keeping things out of sight and locked up.

Kip put a new horn on the boat (the old one rusted and wouldn't work).  In order to put the horn in Kip had to take the radar mast down, install the horn, and put the radar mast back up.  It was quite the project.  While he was busy, I cleaned the inside of the boat.

Kip, Jeff, and Tom (Jeff's son) arrived around 9:45 a.m. to fix Jeff's boat lift so he can use the slip again.  Laura and I took off to pick up supplies.  We met back up at their RV and had lunch, and then we went swimming in the RV park's pool.

After stopping for an ice cream cone, we arrived back at the boat around 6:00 p.m.  We are tired from the fresh air and will probably sleep great tonight.
