January 28 to February 2, 2023 - Back to Florida

The boat is out of storage, and we are back in the water!

It is amazing how much effort it takes to get settled in the boat again.  Such a change from being in our house.

We have spent the last few days exploring different spots near Fort Meyers.  We have seen the damage from the hurricane, and it's overwhelming.  We pray for them as they continue their cleanup and restoration.  We met up with Jeff and Laura and ate good food, played Pickleball, Dominoes, and had a great time hanging out in their RV and on the water.

Here are some pictures from the last few days: (Perdido Beach, Pelican Bay, Gasparillo, Cayo Costa, and more).

Shelling at Gasparilla Pass.  There were hardly any people on the beach,

Kip towed a couple in a dinghy back to their boat - their motor wasn't working.

We call this man "George" because he looks like George Washington crossing the Delaware.

We are slowly heading back toward Fort Meyers today.  We plan on meeting up with Jeff and Laura this weekend to help them with their boat lift (which was damaged by the hurricane).
