Pirates Cove, Josephine, Alabama to Sanroc Cay Marina, Orange Beach, Alabama

It is cold this morning - only 39 degrees!  We only have a short trip today, so we are having breakfast at Pirate's Cove (sausage and egg sandwich with hash browns).  Kip took sunrise pictures while I was still sleeping.

It only took us about an hour to get to Sanroc Cay Marina.  I was sitting in my seat and behind me, hanging from the window opener, was this:

I washed clothes at the other marina on Friday, and he still has his underwear hanging around the boat to dry!  😊

We tied the boat up on the poles (I was "cowgirl Shelly" and lassoed that pole first try), unloaded the bikes, and took off for the beach.

We walked for a very long time on the beach and then cut over to the road.  We stopped at the Publix for some fresh salad, milk, fruit and other miscellaneous items.  When walking back to the marina we kept saying "I didn't think we went THIS far."

We had a late lunch on the dock and then decided to take a nap (it is now 3:30 p.m., and yes, a nap)!  We didn't wake up until 5:30 p.m.  I guess we can do that now that we are retired!  We realized that the sun was setting, so we quickly went out to take some sunset pictures and then go right back into the boat.

Our slip for the next few days.

Tomorrow we are going to search for a 50-30 amp plug converter (because most of the power boxes are 50 amp here and at many other marinas).  We also plan on getting our beach chairs out of the "cave" (storage area) and sit on the beach if it isn't raining.

We walked 15,000 steps today.  Our boat stats are shown below.
