 Lansing, Iowa to Guttenburg, Iowa

A barge was in Lock 9 and that's where we were going, so we didn't leave Lansing until 8:00 a.m.  We saw plenty of eagles along the way.

Can you find the eagle in this picture?

As I was napping, Kip saw some kind of mine in Clayton, Iowa (Limestone, maybe, but not sure).

We went through Lock 10 and docked on the Guttenburg Municipal Marina (which is really nice and was only $20).

Kip had socks on and slipped down the vberth stairs and jammed his toes, so he was in pain on our walk into town.  We stopped and replaced Kip's shoes (that were falling apart) and went to the grocery store for hamburger and Hamburger Helper for supper!  I know - you're jealous, right?  The best part was when Kip said "Oh good, we can have it tomorrow for leftovers."  😐

We went 47 miles today, through two locks, and added 7 hours onto the boat's motor.
