We woke up to more fog. We waited until around 9 a.m. and took off for Pavillion Key to shell.
Where did the captain go?
We, again, had dolphins show up right next to the boat. So fun to see!
It is very shallow at Pavillion Key, so we dinghied in as far as we could, and then I pulled the dinghy as far in as I could. Kip waited where the dinghy stopped, and I walked the rest of the way to the shore. The shore had quite a bit of algae, so I had to scrap it off in order to see the shells. I found a couple of them, but Kip wanted to get going so I called it quits, and we went back to the boat.
We continued to Shark River where we will spend the night.
We had no power, no internet, nothing. We ate supper and tucked in because the bugs were so terrible (mosquitos and no-see-ums). We cracked the windows slightly to keep the bugs out, and it was extremely hot in the boat.
We went to bed early, around 730 p.m. and had a long night of heat and bugs.
Unfortunately, you now know why there are no homes around there. And you thought the mosquito was the MN state bird. 😎
