February 15, 2025 - Bohia Honda, Florida Keys

Today the wind is 25 mph.  Boaters planning on traveling are staying put.  Kip captured the sunrise.

We relaxed in the morning.  Kip went to the beach, and I did crosswords.  Clouds rolled in, and Kip came back out of the rain.

When it was low tide, I walked the beach for a few hours looking for shells.  The man o' wars were out in full force, so my shoes stayed on.  For some reason kids love to poke a stick at them, which is hard to watch.  I told one kid "Hey, be careful.  They will sting you" so they would leave it alone.  I saw a few pretty shells, but again, they had critters in them.

A Coast Guard boat came into the marina.  A group of teenage boys walked over to see it, and the Coast Guard people in the boat invited them to come on the boat and look around, talked to them, and then we heard then chanting "USA, USA, USA".

After my shell excursion, I took a nap.  Kip went to the beach and swam.  Kip told me that he knows why the Anxiety chair was left behind --- it was partially broken (the straps holding the seat on were coming lose).  But, hey, never fear!  Kip put a couple of zip ties where the straps came off, and all is good again.  We might take it with us, or we might set it back up against the fence!

Sunset was beautiful, as always!
