Today we are planning to go to the Hutchinson Island Trawler show. We hopped on our bikes with our backpacks and biked 5 miles to the show (over 2 bridges). They had several Ranger Tugs there (the new 43" was only slightly over $1,000,000, the 27" used Ranger was $250,000, and a nice, older Katy Krogen was slightly over $400,000!).
After deciding that our Ranger was perfect for us, we biked to Stuart Beach. There were so many people there - the whole beach was covered with umbrellas, chairs, and people fishing. We didn't bring our beach supplies, so we walked the beach for a while finding shells, then had a snack at the outdoors restaurant.
We then biked to Publix and got a few groceries, filling both of our backpacks, and went back to the boat and sat on the swim platform with our feet in the water, which felt wonderful! Then we napped and read, and after supper (chicken, salad, fresh peaches, bread with homemade strawberry jelly), we dinghied to shore to listen to a musician playing his guitar and singing soft rock music.
We went back to the boat and played a few rounds of dominoes, and tucked in at around 9 p.m.
Kip looks like Earnest Hemingway. You guys are living the good life!!
