March 18
Today we hung around the boat most of the morning until mid-day.
Doug and Gwen picked us up at 3:30 p.m. for happy hour at their usual tiki hut with their friend Briggs. We enjoyed fun conversation, laughs, and drinks, and then we went to the Mexican restaurant for dinner. Doug brought his large Ugly Stick fishing rod for Kip, which was really nice of him. Hopefully we can catch some big ones with it.

This morning was cloudy and cold, as Doug predicted. Kip went into town to go to the farmer's market and to move our truck. He brought back a HUGE brownie for me! Yum.
It is sprinkling and cold, so we tucked in and read, took a nap, and just hung out. The marina is having a St. Patty's Day meal (corned beef and cabbage and all the fixings) tonight. We cruised up there around 4:30 and were amazed at how many people showed up. The dinner was very good.
Back at the boat we put on our comfy clothes and chilled (literally, we put the heater on) for the rest of the night. Kip said, if it rained, he was going to put his swim trunks on and go on top of the boat to wash it because it is dirty. I challenged that idea for many reasons. He decided against it.

Midnight boat washing in choppy water is not recommended.
