February 15 - Keewaydin Island

We woke up early, had a quick cup of coffee, and went to the beach to do some shelling.  We were shocked at how many shells there were!

Kip left me on the beach and went back to the boat to get our chairs and other items.  I was alone on the beach for quite a while and found this beauty.

Kip took me back to the boat for a nap (I'm retired, so no judging) 😄.  He stayed on the beach and walked around.  After a few hours, Kip came to the boat and brought me back to the beach, and we watched dolphins and read until sunset.  Some talented people farther up the beach made a sandcastle lighthouse.  Very nice job!

The wind is not cooperating!  It appears we won't be able to go to Everglade City tomorrow.  We will have to check again in the morning.  If we are here, we will have to find a place to try fishing again.
