March 13, 2025 - Cape Marina, Port Canaveral, Florida

Kip was up in the middle of the night and noticed that our lines were so tight that the boat was hanging from the lines.  So, in his underwear, he went outside and loosened the lines (but not before some other boaters caught him in his undies)!  It is crazy how many feet the tide changes (4').

This morning, after coffee and toast, we cleaned the boat and packed a backpack so we would be ready when Ashley and company came to pick us up.  They arrived and we visited a while on our boat (looking at pelicans, playing in the boat, etc.).

Then Mike made two car trips to take us to a park (the car only could seat 4 people and the back seat had two seats).  The park has a boardwalk by the water where manatees like to hang out.  Unfortunately, we didn't see any.

Mike made another two trips to get us all to their rental house.  We swam in the pool for quite a while.

Claire (left in the above picture) never stopped moving and her humor is comical!  Natalie took a nap for part of the time, then had snacks on Mike's lap for a while.   Then, off to the beach!

Cocoa Beach is a block from their rental house, so we pulled a cart full of stuff (chairs, umbrella, snacks, life jackets, etc.).  Where we entered the beach was under constructions, so Kip and Ashley had to tag team to get the cart through the sand to where we could set up.

We spent the next few hours playing in the sand, jumping waves, body surfing, walking around, and enjoying the day.

Kip, Ashley, and Claire tried their skill at body surfing.

We walked back to their rental house, packed up our stuff, and Mike took us back to the boat.  Everyone was tired, especially the girls, so we will get back together again tomorrow.   A new day and more adventures!

Kip grilled hamburgers, and we had beans, chips, and fruit for supper.  Last night's space mission launch with four astronauts was cancelled, but it is supposed to occur tomorrow night.  We are planning on watching it from the dock.  Last night we heard an extremely loud boom - so loud that it shook the boat.  We were told that an unmanned rocket was launched last night.  They said the one tomorrow night will be even louder.
