At dinner last night, Doug brought up the fact that I have been slow with posting updates (which is true) -- So, while I am updating the blog and Kip is cleaning the side of the boat with a brush! No wonder he is tired at 9:00 p.m.!
Once we had breakfast, we signed out two bikes at the marina and went to Publix for groceries. The rest of the afternoon we read, napped, and relaxed.
We are meeting with Gretchen and John at their boat at 6:00 p.m. for a tour, and then dinner. John is very handy and has made several changes / updates to their Silverton. It is comfortable and has everything a person would need. We dinghied to the dinghy dock and walked the boardwalk for dinner.
We went to Luna's for pizza, and there was a 45-minute wait. We put our name in and walked around Stuart looking for another pizza place that would seat us earlier. They were all busy (Friday night, of course they are).
We went back to Luna's and had dinner. Both couples ordered pizza, and they were HUGE! We talked, told stories, and laughed quite a bit. The waitress was young and very funny - we asked her why they don't have green olives. Then we told her about sauerkraut on pizzas, and she said that sounded good. Gretchen brought up a restaurant that made Rueben balls with sauerkraut and corn beef in them. The waitress didn't hear her, so John told her "Rueben's balls"! The waitress turned red and all of us were laughing about it. She hung around a bit and joked with us, and said "you guys are great." It was a fun dinner, and we enjoyed Gretchen and John's company.
We walked the boardwalk back to the dinghy dock and went back to the boat, watched one episode of "Blue Bloods" and called it a night.
