Today we organized, read, drank coffee, and prepared for our snorkeling trip. We look over by the tree and there is a huge iguana hanging around, then went up our tree. Kip moved his chair.
At 1:00 we gathered near the office, got instructions, grabbed a wetsuit, and boarded the boat. The weather is supposed to be ok - two-foot waves with medium chop. The ride out was fun. Kip spent a short time up front, where you would expect him to be!
We are going to Looe Key Reef off of Little Pine Island with 22 other people.
The shuttle connected to a mooring ball, we received final instructions, and we were ready to go. The water was a beautiful blue!
That's Kip on the left.
Kip was the first one in the water (surprise, surprise). I followed him after a few minutes. The waves are NOT 2 feet, they are much higher. We took off and saw some beautiful fish, jellyfish, and vegetation. After about a half hour, I was sick. I went back to the shuttle. They gave me a chum "barf" bag, and I proceeded to breath while my mouth watered, and my stomach churned. I was not alone!
Kip checked on me and then continued snorkeling for another half hour or so, and then he came back to the shuttle. The ride back was just as wavy - Kip sat in the front chatting with people and I sat in the back with my chum bag, eyes closed, hoping to get on land quickly.
We got back, hung out, ate leftovers, and watched a couple of episodes of "Blue Bloods".
