February 25, 2024 - Bohia Honda Park, Florida Keys

Sunday

We had a rough night - my dad, who lives in Minnesota, went into the hospital after a fall.  He cut his head and fractured the C1 disc in his neck.  Lots of phone calls and trying to decide if I should fly home.

Snorkeling was cancelled because not enough people signed up.  So, we just took several walks to the beach throughout the day and waded in the shallow water (it was low tide).

There were 4 manatees in the cove.  The marina staff said they were "having fun" with each other.  We weren't sure what they were doing!

The bridge is only 6' 8" tall.  There are several scrape marks on the top of this passthrough where people thought they could make it but they didn't.

We decided we needed a new sunset vantage point, so we walked to the campground where the tents were located.

We found a nice seat by the water to sit on and watched the sunset with some conch shell blowers.

We went back to the boat for dinner, cards, and more discussions about going home.  My sisters seem to have things handled, so I am staying for now.
