February 16, 2024 - Bohia Honda State Park, Florida Keys

 Friday

I woke up this morning and Kip was already outside enjoying the day.  After we had a quick breakfast, we rode our bikes to the office and got our bag of ice and free drinks for the day (we get these items free daily from the marina office).

We took the dinghy out into the big water by the bridge for a while, but it was pretty rough, so we came back in.  It was time to clean the boat, so we rearranged so we could move around inside better.  We were dreading it, but it's done.

We walked to the beach, set up our chairs and umbrella, and enjoyed the day.  Kip went swimming in really cold water - I, however, just walked in up to my knees.  There are less people on the beach today than there were yesterday.

We sat outside for a while and talked to quite a few people; many came by to check out our boat.  A group of three came by and said they were on a big catamaran anchored in the bay.  He said he loved our boat!  He owns a coffee place in Vera Beach called Thief's Coffee.  He said, if we are in the area, we should stop by for a coffee on him.  Kip grilled hamburgers to go along with vegetables, coleslaw, and chips for supper.

Last night Kip was looking a two pretty palm trees with red lights on them, then he realized they were pop machines!  😂

The sunsets here are spectacular!
