April 3, 2023, Monday - Sunset Bay, Stuart, Florida

Today we are going to Peanut Island, which has a nice sandbar.  We left later today, around 10:30 a.m. and blasted down there with the 25' Yamaha.

Somewhere along the line my hat blew off, but it was retrieved.  I also lost one of my earrings, and somehow, it was found on the back swim platform stuck in the material and rode that way.  Can't believe it was found.  The closer we got to West Palm Beach, the bigger the boats.  Check these out.

This one is a 357-foot-long superyacht owned by Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones

We stopped at a restaurant for lunch and continued to Peanut Island.  Another boat was out of control and was getting closer and closer to Jeff and Laura's boat.  It seems someone fell in the water, and they were trying to get him out and not worrying about what else was happening.  All was fine, and glad the guy was recovered and fine.  The water in Jupiter is amazingly blue aqua and is quite beautiful.

We have been told that, on the weekends, there are over 2,000 boats on Peanut Island.  Most of the people are younger and it gets quite rowdy.  Today, since it is Tuesday, there weren't that many boats here.  We jumped off and walked around in the ankle-high water.  There are spots that are deeper, so if the water is darker, we were careful before stepping there.

The day was getting away from us, so we began or trip back to Stuart.  There was an area on the way back, I think it was in Jupiter, where we stopped on the shore and walked around and Laura swam.  The water is so blue it is really hard to believe.

The clouds are rolling in, so we had to get going.  We arrived at the Roosevelt Bridge and the rain started.  We had to wait for the Railroad Bridge to open, so we got a bit wet.  The sun was just starting to go down.

After changing, we walked into town for dinner and yes, we had Kilwin's ice cream too!  It is almost 10:00 p.m. and all of us are tired.  It is really muggy tonight, so fans were in order so we could have some type of breeze.
