Well, today Jeff and Laura are picking us up and we are going to Hutchinson Island. We had to re-arrange and put the items we had stored in the back seats to the trunk so all of us could fit into the truck. We went to Stuart Beach because they are having a surfing event today.
We set up our umbrella and chairs and relaxed. Kip swam a few times, and Laura and I put our feet into the water and enjoyed the waves. I was looking around at the shells and spotted a small Scotch Bonnet shell, which was exciting.
We packed back up and drove to North Hutchinson Island and stopped at Manatee Island in Fort Pierce to look around. It is really nice here, so I think Kip and I will return next week and anchor out for a night or two.
We got dropped off at Kip's mom's and Doug's house for dinner (so Jeff and Laura could use our truck). We swam in the pool (which felt great) and chatted about just about everything. They had drinks ready (Diet Coke for Kip and a Strawberry Daquiri for me) and snacks for us to munch on.
We had Caeser salad, garlic bread, and fettuccini alfredo for dinner with tiramisu for dessert. Very tasty! Then around 7:30 we hopped into their car, and they drove us back to the marina. It is extremely humid, and the clouds are dark, so there could be some rain tonight.
